The month layout shows a month of days, as a wall calendar does. A calendar opens in it with DefaultLayout (React: defaultLayout), and the toolbar's layout picker switches to it.
<Calendar defaultLayout="month" /><Calendar DefaultLayout="CalendarLayout.Month" />Every sample appointment the demo holds: more than a weekday's cell has room for.
An appointment with a time is one line in its day, as Outlook draws a month: a dot in the color of how it shows its time, then its time and subject. An all-day appointment is a bar across every day it takes. A day with more than its cell holds shows as many as fit and a +3 more link, which opens the whole day's list over the calendar.
A day's number opens that day in the day layout, when the calendar offers it.
In an Editable calendar, drag an appointment to another day to move it there at the same time, and select a day, or several, to start a new appointment.
The calendar's other layouts: Day, Work Week, Week and Agenda.
