The day layout shows one day by the hour, as Outlook's day view does. A calendar opens in it with DefaultLayout (React: defaultLayout), and the toolbar's layout picker switches to it. In the work week, week and month layouts, a day's name or number opens that day here, as long as the day layout is one of the calendar's Layouts.
<Calendar defaultLayout="day" /><Calendar DefaultLayout="CalendarLayout.Day" />Every sample appointment the demo holds, not only one account's, so a weekday is full. The arrows beside Today move a day at a time; weekends are quiet.
The day is drawn in half-hour rows and opens scrolled to 8:00, with the earlier hours a scroll away. A line across it marks the current time. Times are in the user's time zone, as every time on the portal is. Appointments at the same time sit side by side rather than over each other, each showing its time, subject and place as far as its height allows.
An all-day appointment, and one that runs over several days, sits in the All day row above the hours, so the hours show only what has a time.
In an Editable calendar, drag an appointment to move it, or its bottom edge to change when it ends, in steps of a quarter hour, and drag it into the All day row to make it take the whole day. Select a stretch of time to start a new appointment over it. Which rows can be moved, and how a move is saved, is on the Calendar page.
